The Net-Care project, “Innovation in Nursing and Palliative Care – Port Sudan” includes the establishment and follow-up meetings of a networked scientific committee to support the exchange of knowledge, innovations and case reviews relating to palliative care amongst multi-stakeholder personnel from the consortium and local partners.

The aim is to consolidate an inter-institutional, multi-stakeholder scientific committee that facilitates the exchange of knowledge, innovation, applied research and the review of clinical cases in palliative care between Port Sudan and Valencia, thereby strengthening the quality of care for low-income patients and ensuring long-term sustainability.

The Committee is formed by palliative care specialists of Comboni College of Science and Technology, Universitat Catolica de Valencia, Clinicas IVADE; gender and transactional specialists of Bitagdiry NGO; members from the Ministry of Health – Red Sea State and two international specialists, Dr. Nahla Gafer and NHS Geraldine Damanhuri.

The first meeting took place on June 30th 2026.
