On Monday 25th February, the Ambassador of Italy to Sudan, H.E. Fabrizio Lobasso, and the Director of the Undersecretary Office of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Sudan, Dr. Mohamed Ismail Yousif, distributed the certificates to the 84 students who completed successfully the training provided by INSO Project. The closing ceremony of this project took place in the Conference Hall of Comboni College of Science and Technology (CCST) and was opened by the words of its Dean, Prof. Abdel Rahman Al-Khangi. This one welcomed the graduates of the project, who came from seven different universities, and the friends and relatives who accompanied them. After the Dean, the Italian Ambassador underlined the commitment of the Italian cooperation in Sudan to promote sustainable development and encouraged the youth to be courageous to build the Sudan they dream of. Dr. Mohamed Ismail Yousif underlined the commitment of the Ministry to support international initiatives of cooperation that enhance the skills of Sudanese youth. The institutional greetings were followed by a presentation by Fr. Jorge Naranjo, Director of the College team of the Project, in which he went through the whole of it since its inception at the end of 2016 to the final accreditation process. The General Director of the College recalled the words of the Ministry of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Sumeya Abu Kashawa, in the Inauguration of the Project in Khartoum on 24th April 2017, when she asked CCST to make of this project an axis for its strategic development. Fr. Naranjo also presented some of the limits of the project and some positive outcomes for the College: the improvement in the quality of the internships that the College students have to do during their studies thanks to the drafting of conventions with private companies; the design of a new BSc in Information Technology that incorporates the experience of the project through subjects like entrepreneurship, marketing, corporate social responsibility and sustainable development; the creation of a start-ups incubator that will support the entrepreneurial projects of the students. The celebration ended with a social moment with some refreshments.
