III Cultural Week of CCST

The Cultural Week is an initiative of the students presented to the College administration since 2015. The theme of the first Cultural Week was diversity. The College community reflected upon it as a treasure that is present in our midst as 44% from the students has different nationalities to the Sudanese one. During the second Cultural Week the theme was the environment and the care for it.This year the theme is “Identity”. Most of the South Sudanese, Eritrean and Ethiopian students were born in Sudan and don't know the country of their ancestors. This situation provokes this question: who I am. Also Sudanese students expressed their desire to deepen into the old history of the country as it's part of them. A weak identity is the best entrance for any kind of fundamentalist ideology that may offer itself as a “Sound identity provider”, as it can be watched in the film that closes the week: “Iman”, the greatest modern film production in Sudan. The week takes place at the headquarters of the College at Qasr Avenue with the following program:- Saturday 5th August: Inauguration at 5:30 pm The students will perform different artistic manifestations (music, theatre, poems,..) to express the theme of the week in the courtyard of the headquarters of the College.
