28th Oct - CIEC at the Climate Change, Youth and Social Enterprise Forum

The European Union funded Global Climate Change Alliance in partnership with the British Council-Sudan organized an exhibition open to the public on the work of Social Entrepreneurs as part of the forum “Climate Change, Youth and Social Enterprise: opportunities and the enabling environment”. The event took place on Monday 28th October, 2019 at the Corinthia Hotel. With a focus on the opportunities to respond to the challenges of climate change and environmental degradation through social enterprises, the event, seek to achieve three objectives:

  1. Demonstrate the emerging social enterprise sector in the country by showcasing the work of individual entrepreneurs and groups ranging from recycling and water management to alternative energy and gamification
  2. Showcase the various incubators and support organisations (academia, private sector and government) available to social entrepreneurs.
  3. Provide a space for networking, the exchange of ideas and the building of new relationships.
Mr. Ali Musa, Project Manager of the Comboni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (CIEC) presented the Incubator as one of the incubators located in Khartoum committed to social entrepreneurship and the care for environment.
